The Green Bar of Frustration
If you stay up to date with current web-related news, you have likely heard all the fuss about the Page Rank drop that hit yesterday. Has your site lost pagerank? Who cares. This is a perfect example of why you should not pay any attention to the toolbar pagerank. Many, many sites have lost a significant amount of PR, but you know what else this update has caused? Nothing. All of these sites that have been confirmed to have lost their high PR are still ranking in the same spots that they were before, and are still getting the same traffic as they were before.
I know you like to see that green bar filling up as the months go by, but you just have to tell yourself that it just doesn’t matter. Keep building your links, in moderation of course, and marketing your business and you’ll do just fine.
